About TurboHalo
A secret ingredient to gnarly 90's industrial tones, we've brought the TurboSynth (1988) into the modern era.
TurboHalo recreates two modules from the TurboSynth: its waveshaper and its diffuser. The Shape section runs your signal through a table of 32 transfer curves, fitted from 320 captures of the real hardware. The Diffuse section adds the hardware's resonant, metallic smear.
Acclaimed producer and artist Matia Simovich (INHALT, Infinite Power Studios) collaborated with Wild Jag Audio to capture the original character and bring it to your DAW. We took 320 captures of the OG software, analyzed them, and built a model of eight, meticulously curated waveshaper patches, in addition to it's diffuser. The result is a faithful recreation of the TurboSynth's sound, in real-time (the original only allowed offline rendering!), with the flexibility to dial in whatever insanity you need.

- Diffuse module recreates the original, but with an additional Velocity control that adjusts feedback based off of input volume.
- Painstakingly fitted from 320 captures of the original 1988 app.
- Diffuser Width control adds additional stereo spread to the original module.

Diffuse

| Blend | 0–100% | Wet and dry blend for the Diffuse stage alone. At 0% the stage is fully bypassed. |

Inhalt
Matia Simovich (Inhalt, Infinite Power Studios) is a Los Angeles-based producer and songwriter. His releases have appeared on labels including Dark Entries, Mechatronica and Cleopatra Records. As a producer, he's worked with Nitzer Ebb, Boy Harsher, The Soft Moon, KMFDM, and many others.
