Frequently asked questions
What do the plugins run on?
Wild Jag and Inhalt plugins run on macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later, on Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or newer). Intel Macs are not supported, and there is no Windows version yet.
Every plugin comes as AU, VST3 and AAX (for Pro Tools), plus a standalone app.
How do I install a plugin?
Download the installer (.pkg) and open it. It lets you choose which formats to install (AU, VST3, AAX or Standalone) and whether to install for all users or only for you. The installers are signed and notarized by Apple.
The plugin doesn't show up in my DAW.
Restart your DAW and rescan plugins. Most DAWs only look for new plugins at launch or when you ask them to rescan.
Make sure you installed the format your DAW uses (AU, VST3 or AAX), and that your DAW is running natively on Apple Silicon rather than under Rosetta. If it still doesn't appear, email support@wildjagaudio.com with your macOS version, your DAW and its version.
Are the free plugins really free?
Yes. Caverns, Corrosion, Gradient and Aura are free to download and use, with no account and no license key.
How do I activate a paid plugin?
After you buy, we email you a license key. Open the plugin, enter the key in the activation window, and it unlocks. Activation needs an internet connection.
One license works on up to two of your computers.
How do I move my license to a new computer?
Open the plugin on the old computer and choose Deactivate in the footer, then activate on the new one. You can deactivate up to three times in any 90-day period. If you can't reach the old computer, email support@wildjagaudio.com and we'll free up the slot.
I lost my license key.
Email support@wildjagaudio.com from the address you used to buy, and we'll send it again.
My studio computer is offline. Can I still activate?
Email support@wildjagaudio.com. We can arrange offline activation for computers that can't reach the internet.
What is your refund policy?
See the refund policy page for the full terms. If something isn't working, email support@wildjagaudio.com first. Most problems can be fixed.
Do the plugins collect data? How do I turn it off?
Plugins send a small, anonymous usage event: the plugin and version, your macOS version, your DAW, the preset you load and a random install ID. No audio, project data or personal information is sent.
To opt out, set telemetryOptedOut=1 in ~/Library/Application Support/WildJag/WildJag.properties. The privacy policy has the details.
